Meet Michelle

Michelle Jones is a registered nurse, Stott™ trained pilates instructor and certified health counsellor, accredited through the American Academy of Drugless Practitioners (AADP). She believes that the combination of intelligent exercise, good nutrition and a balanced life allow us to reach our full potential in both mind and body. In our modern day "toxic" food environment, the truth is burried beneath a heap of irrelevant and even harmful information. Michelle's approach eliminates this confusion and makes good food and good health simple!  Her mission is to empower you to make informed choices and changes in your nutrition, fitness and lifestyle that will lead you to create a passionate, vibrant life.

 

Growing up in Canada, Michelle spent her youth as a competitive figure skater and was fortunate to be taught by world class coaches and off-ice fitness instructors. Eventually, she also enjoyed teaching young skaters. It was here that the foundation for a career in fitness and coaching was firmly established. Michelle went on to graduate from the University of Western Ontario with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and enjoyed several challenging years as an emergency room nurse. Following the birth of her first child, she began practicing pilates to relieve her neck pain and immediately felt a deep connection to this transformative and healing exercise discipline.  She completed her training with Stott Pilates™ in 2007 and has thoroughly enjoyed teaching ever since. Facing an emotionally challenging life transition forced Michelle to re-evaluate her life direction, identify her goals and put her health first. This led her to enroll at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in NYC. Accredited by Cornell University, IIN is the grassroots center for healing through food and nutrition. This experience changed Michelle's life and it was here that she decided to dedicate herself to empowering others to re-define their own health, wellness and life goals.

 

Michelle's educational and life experiences have combined to create a compassionate, dedicated and well-informed health and lifestyle coach. Her commitment to helping people improve their health and lives comes from the heart. This is her life's purpose! She believes that momentum is ignited by a decision, so if there is something you want to have - robust health, a stronger, leaner body, better relationships, a fulfilling career... decide you will have it, and allow her to guide you in reaching and even exceeding your goals.
